Nathan Fox inspires pupils at Bedfont school

Commonwealth Games triple jumper, Nathan Fox, hopped skipped and jumped into Marjory Kinnon School in Middlesex to lead some inspiring fitness circuits. School PA Amanda Baldwin said: “Students were sponsored by their family and friends to take part with the money going back into the schools’ physical education and sports program.”

Nathan gave a terrific and inspiring assembly at the end of the circuits, inviting the pupils to complete some practice drills with him, and measured out his triple jump personal best (longer than the hall in which the event was held!). He talked about his training program, his inspiration to take up athletics, and the importance of the food that we eat (“we are what we eat”).

Nathan joined the Sports for Schools scheme to help give back to the sport, while the scheme helps Nathan with the costs of his training and competitions.

Team GB athletes sprint into Alec Reed Academy

Team GB sprinters Luke Lennon-Ford and Rion Pierre bounced in to the Alex Reed Academy in Middlesex to help the school raise money for PE Equipment.

Peter Hammer, PE Coordinator tells us “The children had a fantastic day where they were motivated by the athletes’ stories and engaged with them through fitness and lots of fun”.

Everyone of the 600+ pupils joined Luke and Rion in completing their fitness circuits before being treated to an inspirational assembly. Awesome event team!
